Patio Homes Information

Patio home living at Dakota Glen is probably unlike than anything else you’ve seen in other neighborhoods. In many developments, the patio homes are a series of cookie-cutter cottages tightly packed away in a corner of the neighborhood.

At Dakota Glen, you won’t even recognize our patio homes as being patio homes. From the outside, they look just like the semi-custom homes that they are. That’s because we qualify them based on:

  • Lot size – smaller lots equal less overall home cost
  • Outdoor maintenance – fees for landscape maintenance and snow removal are included in the HOA dues

The lots designated for our patio homes have less square footage than most of our standard lots, so the homes designed for them may have a smaller footprint or a three-car tandem garage instead of a standard three stalls. But these lots are larger than what you’ll find in many new home neighborhoods today, and they all back to open space to give them the feeling of being larger.

If you like to travel extensively or spend the winter where it’s warmer, you might consider selecting a patio home that has the quality and details of a Dakota Glen home, plus the benefits of outdoor maintenance, and still have plenty of elbow room to spare.
