Dakota Glen’s 10-Step New Home Building Process

We strive to make your new home building process as easy and exciting as possible, giving you many different opportunities to make your home truly yours throughout the process.

1.

Prequalify for your mortgage – meet with your lender to determine the budget for your new home. If you need a lender, we would be happy to give you a list of lenders that understand new home construction and can provide mortgage options for your individual needs.

2.

Meet with one of our Real Estate sales professionals to learn about all the options available.

3.

Choose a floor plan that fits your lifestyle.

4.

Reserve your favorite available lot. $500 (refundable) will hold it for 45 days.

5.

Select a builder and determine any customizations you would like to make to your floor plan.

6.

Sign the contract to start the building process, which generally takes about six months from this point. You will be provided a construction timeline for any decisions that you need to make regarding different allowance categories.

7.

Generous allowances allow you to choose custom finishes to further customize your home when you select:

    • Surfaces and flooring
    • Appliances
    • Light fixtures
    • Landscaping

Final walkthrough.

Close.
